Emma is the odd one out in her rich, upperclass family who prides themselves on being noticed. But that is the way she feels best; when she is left to herself.
On occasion however she will pull herself out of book or work to associate with a classmate or friend, but it is such a rare occurrence. When she does associate with people she, while being shy, is a happy girl with much to talk about. She has a strong mindset and very strong opinions on almost every topic.
