The library was hardly crowded today, and was the perfect place for sixteen year old Minako to hide from her fellow classmates. She was all the way in the back of the library sitting at a table, a large pile of books blocking her small figure. In her little hands was a English textbook. Her dark eyes were plastered on the book and anyone passing by would think the young girl was fascinated by what she was reading. But anyone who looked closely would be able to see her eyes excited as she read and a small smile formed on the side of her mouth. She was really reading a manga, a new one her brother had sent her. It was a good one too.
A slightly loud sound, that sounded like books dropping, cause Minako to look up and close her book over her finger, to hide the manga. Tipping her head and narrowing her eyes she stared at where the sound came from. She figured she had been alone back here, and she hadn't heard anyone walking by. Biting her lip lightly, she placed the book, open, flat down, pages on the table. Standing up she adjusted the white ribbon on her sailor blouse and pulled up the tight white sheer tights she was wearing.
Walking quietly toward the source of the sound, her navy blue kitten heeled boots barely making a sound. She quickly peeked in each row checking to see if anyone was in them. Coming to the last row she took a deep breath and peeked her head around, her dark hair, with a bright yellow bow in it, fell over her shoulders.

Juliet knew that when cutting class one of the best places to hide out was the library. Most wandered onto the grounds or into the bathrooms; dorms were checked if you weren't in class too. Professors would want to check their id's to see if they were supposed to be in a class. But they never searched the library; who would cut to sit in the library? She was just wanted to get out of math for a bit, it being her worst subject. So here she was, wandering through the rows, searching for a good read.
Her taupe Laura Scott ankle boots made the lightest of sounds as she walked over the carpeted floor. Even her bangles made no sound as she moved, seeing as how they were over the sleeve of her long sleeved taupe Joseph Viscose t-shirt. The less noise she made though, the better. She might of been safe here but if she was loud the librarian would be sure to ask for id. It was easier to just not get in trouble, though she was sure her mother would love to dampen her daughters seemingly perfect image; unlike her mother, she stayed away from gossip and scandal. The baddest thing she would ever do is cut class, occasionally.
Juliet's bright red, manicured fingers lightly brushed over the titles of books as she walked. She loved to read romance novels, but not steamy hot ones, more of a classic, something to really make her feel light and airy. Her hands stopped over a potential book but as she pulled it out a few books on either side of it followed, falling down loudly to the ground. Juliet cursed lightly, dropping her metallic Michael Kors 'Beverly' bag as she dove down to pick the books up. But as she was picking them up she looked up to see a girl peeking her head around a shelf. Juliet smiled at the girl, her Lancome lip gloss shining off her lips as she did so. "Ha, sorry if I disturbed you. The books here decided they wanted to take a little trip." Juliet laughed lightly at her joke.

Minako raised her eyebrows slightly at the girl, but made no motion to move. She stared at the girl as she made an attempt at a joke then laughed at it. A small smile crossed her lips, the other girl seemed nice enough; aside from her very nice looking clothes. Usually she avoided the super narcissistic, rich girls she went to school with. She may of had money, but she didn't flaunt it with $5,000 bags and $600 shoes. Minako's lips twitched at the site of the books on the floor and for a moment she longed to go back to finish her manga. But she didn't want to be rude.
"Here, let me help." She quickly walked to next the other girl, kneeling to help her pick up the books. After picking a few up, holding them close to her chest, she held out her hand to the other girl. With a cheery voice, almost childlike, she said, "I'm Kou Minako! But you can call me Mina!". One thing she liked about being away from her traditional Japanese family was being able to drop honorifics. Even with her old friends, she always referred to them with a 'chan' at the end. They called her 'Minako-chan' or 'Mina-chan'. She preferred 'Mina', no 'Kou' before or strange name that made her classmates giggle; it sounded more American.

Juliet smiled at the other girl as she helped her pick up the books that fell. Most students in this school were stuck up and snobby, thinking they were better then everyone else. That's how people with money behaved; it's how they were raised. The girl, Mina, as she introduced herself, Juliet wanted to guess was on scholarship, there was no way she'd get down on her knees and help a stranger out. Juliet took Mina's hand in her own, shaking it lightly as she spoke, "I'm Juliet Capulet. Thanks by the way, you didn't have to help me." Letting go of her hand she stood up with a few books putting them back on the shelf. She then looked down to the other girl. She'd never even seen her before, she was probably in a younger year then her. Though Juliet couldn't speak much about not seeing many other people, her mother had a tight knit group of friends and it was expected that their daughters be friends too. Even though she hardly liked the other girls, she still hung around them.
"So what year are you?" The least she could do was be polite and start a conversation with this seemingly nice classmate of hers.
